Yep. Not quite starting yet–but getting there!

Exercise: Traditionally, I start w/ food… but… well… I look like a better TBTer in terms of exercise today…

  • 1hr spin class
  • 50 push-ups
  • 60 crunches

Food:

  • Sesame bagel w/ honey almond butter, orange juice, coffee w/ half & half, four turkey sausage links
  • Naked Berry Blast blended w/ Pom and Greek Yogurt, 1% cottage cheese
  • can of three bean salad…
  • leafy greens w/ firm tofu cube, balsamic vinegar, orange-honey-greek yogurt dressing, and some hummus.
  • 2 clementines
  • Bacon Cheddar Cheese Ball, triscuits, cherry vanilla ice cream w/ chocolate syrup
  • 2 extra dirty martinis with olives.

Yeah, so I’m not quite TBTing yet, but I’m a step closer than yesterday.  I did my 50 pushups and situps.  I did not walk the dog, but b/c of Spin Class I got 10,000+ steps.  (I feel like spinning for steps is a bit of a cheat, though…)

I’m a little irritated about spinning.  Kim had a sub today, and while he’s a great teacher with great music…  he’s a chauvinist dickhole.  Once, I attended his Wednesday 5:45am class, that wasn’t on the schedule, I had just heard about it.  He told me “you can come back.”  As if you needed an invite to attend.  Then today I did well.  Or so I thought.  At the end, he ignored four females and invited a roid-ridden meathead in a cycling unitard to an unscheduled 10am Saturday class.  (Yes, I was jealous… of the unitard!)  Anyway.  Grr.

So I ate alright until I got home from basketball, when I downed some bacon cheddar cheese ball, ice cream, and dirty martinis.  Gotta get my fill of the dirties now so that I can miss them for three months.  *sigh.*  Speaking of–hit Costco today and did *not* get the giant jar of green olives.  Go me.

Oh–btw–Rowdy–my digestive system didn’t appreciate all the fiber today either.  I had mad farts sitting on the bench running the basketball scoreboard.  Fortunately there weren’t 7 other people on the bench w/ me… oh wait.  There were…

I’m not starting til Monday! But….

Food:

  • Egg, 2 pieces wheat toast w/ butter and simply blueberry jam, four turkey sausage links
  • Honey almond butter and simply blueberry on wheat
  • Chocolate…  bacon cheese ball…  triscuits (those are healthy!)…
  • Dirty assed martini with extra olives (apparently olives are healthy, too.)

Exercise:

  • 2.5 mile Reilly walk
  • Nona League Practice

Oi.  Practice last night.  Nona ran a back to basics practice, that was full to the hilt and left me waking up with that train-wreck feeling.  I’ve only been a lazy slug since we went on derby break—Dec. 21.  If you don’t recall, I continued my workouts and ate mostly healthy through the 21st.  Why?  Well I had big exercise plans for break, but then I got sick, and then I got lazy, soo… yeah.

Anyway, 10 days off.  And in those 10 days, I hit a Speed Skating class, a Spin class, and a scrimmage.  So I wasn’t even that much of a lazy slug.

But fuck.  We did 50 laps, broken into 20-10-20 last night.  My back screamed at me the entire time.  I didn’t get winded at all, but my back was like “fuck you, fuck you, fuck you” with every stride.  Rowdy tried to save me–we tried to partner and lap each other at every corner.  It worked for about three laps, but there were too many other people lapping us also for us to maintain our pattern consistently.  I also got some nice encouragement from Gaygan and Pippi (so glad to have Pip back) which was nice, but I wasn’t feeling very tough last night.

Sooo… basically what I’m saying is, even though I’m a lazy fuck, I am excited about re-focusing on eating and exercising because I don’t like how I have been feeling lately.

Ok, now my motivation is slipping, too. Shoot.

Ugh.  Okay so yesterday I slipped up a bit.  I was in a funk all day (Negative Energy Cloud over my head Wile E Coyote style.)  When I got home, I really didn’t want to go to spin.  The beer nearly drank itself.  I walked Reilly, but since I was skipping spin, I should have walked her longer.  Only 6200 steps yesterday.  Yikes!  I should be hitting 10,000 steps daily.

Also, the Bleu Cheese Olives in the fridge.  They call to me.  I couldn’t resist, nor did I try.  I mentioned I miss cooking?  Last night instead of exercising, I cooked dinner.  Totally not fancy or worth bragging about, but I enjoyed it.  Maybe it’s okay to take two nights off a week so I can cook healthy meals those nights?  I can’t do both.  😦

Conversely…  I did do “Calisthenics” yesterday (heeeheee.  I love that word.  Almost as much as I love chartreuse.)  Push-ups, sit-ups, other ab work, curls, presses, etc.  (I listed it out on my daily post last night.)  So…  I’m actually not beating myself up about it.  It only took 30 mins or so, compared with the hour and a half ish I spend at Spin.  Plus, it gave my legs a day off.

Anyway, just wanted to point out that while I was ragging on everyone last week for being tired of TBT and slacking a bit, it’s time for you guys to point the finger back at me.  (But it was totally the olives and the beer’s fault. Not mine.  They were in my fridge! They can’t expect to hang out there and not be eaten.  Sheesh.)

How to gain 5lbs in one day

No really.  See:

I weighed in at 153.8lbs this morning.  After the restroom.  Holy oops.  I don’t think Cheat Days work for me.  😦

Food:

  • Jimmy Dean Delights Canadian Bacon Egg white sammie with Orange Juice
  • Greek Yogurt w/ fruit and granola, apple, 1/2 Pumpkin Costco Muffin
  • 2 pieces pepperoni pizza, 1/2 chicken breast and colby jack sammie on sourdough, 1% cottage cheese, Fuze Slenderize, Chocolate cake (with cream filling)
  • Dirty Martini w/ Bleu Cheese Olives
  • Dirty Martini w/ Olives, Coconut Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, 8oz Filet Mignon, Lobster tail (with butter,) Red Wine, Ice Cream Sundae (Toasted coconut, chocolate sauce, real whipped cream, vanilla ice cream)  (This meal from The Outback Steakhouse–we love it there.)

Exercise:

  • 2.5 mile Reilly walk

I’m hoping the nearly 5lbs I weighed more this morning is just food still working its way through the plumbing, if you know what I mean.  After dinner, I went into a food coma at like…8pm (if that.)

Also–discovered FitBit bases my calories on my weight.  😉  Good to know.
