Martini Madness is Right

Food:

  • Jimmy Dean turkey sausage biscuit w/ grapefruit and brown sugar
  • Luna Bar
  • 3 extra large martinis
  • bar nuts, cheese platter, Thai Chicken Flatbread

Exercise:

  • 50 toe pushups
  • 50 situps (25 crunches, 25 v-ups)
  • Saturday Scrimmage

Yeah, so I hit up Saturday Scrimmage yesterday because I hate Body Pump and the Spin instructor was the marimba lady.  It was fun, but also frustrating, as per usual.  I tried being “YODA” instead of “R2D2” and that was a disaster.  Try Not, Do. Or Do Not.  My ass.  So today to avoid further disaster I’ll just be R2D2 today.  Which makes me really sad.  Whatever.

We’ve been practicing flippy-spinny stuff to break out as a jammer.  I’ve now applied the move thrice to blocking.  “Oh, you think you’re in front of me, jammer?” Flip.  “How you like me now, bitch?”  Granted yesterday it landed me in the penalty box (high block.)  Didn’t feel anybody’s face on me anywhere, so whatevs.  I was “shiny” yesterday.  That’s what I get for showing up at Saturday Scrimmage, I guess.  *Sigh.*  Hopefully my shininess doesn’t extent to today, because that would royally blow.

So then Tim and I went to Union Bistro in Castle Rock for $5 Martini Saturdays.  Oh, I enjoyed that.  A lot.  They bring the shaker and pour your martini at the table, which basically means you get two martinis in one.  😀  I had “The Martini” (Dirty Vodka,) “Acid Rain” (Citrus Vodka, midori, lime and cherry), and a “Black Pearl” (Pearl Vodka, Blackberry Infusion, & lime).  All delicious.  Not as good as the “Ruby Red Slipper” I favor at Siena‘s, but the ambiance more than made up for staring at a wall at Siena’s, sooo….  I’ll live.

Then Tim and I argued the benefits of a 5:15pm movie, or an 8:45pm movie.  He wanted to nap prior to the movie.  I told him if I went to sleep, that would be it for the night.  He won.  I passed out, and at 8:00ish when he tired to get me up had a pounding throbbing horrible headache and wouldn’t do it.  So Tim went to the movie alone and I slept.  Which probably turned out good on my calorie count, since sleeping kept me from eating.  (Friday was such a food disaster.)

Yep.

Friday: 2414 Calories

Food:

  • Cheerios w/ 1% milk, coffee, creamer
  • Apple, Yogurt w/ fruit and granola, almonds
  • Chicken breast and swiss on wheat bread w/ Diet Dr Pepper, banana, and three brownies…
  • Triscuits w/ avocado and salmon, carrot, vodka.  Lots of vodka.

Exercise:

  • Long walk w/ Reilly

Saturday: 5000+ calories

  • Quinoa bowl w/ maple syrup, walnuts, apple slices.  Three eggs w/ salmon and avocado.
  • Peanut Butter and Banana w/ honey on wheat.  Milk.
  • Pizza.  (4 slices.) Garlic knot.  Beer.  Vodka.  Lots and lots and lots of vodka.  With olives.  It was mayhem.

Exercise:

  • Body Pump
  • 2 40 minute bouts

My legs hurt.  That is all.

How to gain 5lbs in one day

No really.  See:

I weighed in at 153.8lbs this morning.  After the restroom.  Holy oops.  I don’t think Cheat Days work for me.  😦

Food:

  • Jimmy Dean Delights Canadian Bacon Egg white sammie with Orange Juice
  • Greek Yogurt w/ fruit and granola, apple, 1/2 Pumpkin Costco Muffin
  • 2 pieces pepperoni pizza, 1/2 chicken breast and colby jack sammie on sourdough, 1% cottage cheese, Fuze Slenderize, Chocolate cake (with cream filling)
  • Dirty Martini w/ Bleu Cheese Olives
  • Dirty Martini w/ Olives, Coconut Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, 8oz Filet Mignon, Lobster tail (with butter,) Red Wine, Ice Cream Sundae (Toasted coconut, chocolate sauce, real whipped cream, vanilla ice cream)  (This meal from The Outback Steakhouse–we love it there.)

Exercise:

  • 2.5 mile Reilly walk

I’m hoping the nearly 5lbs I weighed more this morning is just food still working its way through the plumbing, if you know what I mean.  After dinner, I went into a food coma at like…8pm (if that.)

Also–discovered FitBit bases my calories on my weight.  😉  Good to know.

Blah blah blah

So I’m debating. I was gonna cheat with a nice dinner last night. I didn’t because our dinner plans fell through, but not before I’d committed to the cheat day by drinking a couple of martini’s.

The question is… Do I try again… Or… Not… ? I went to spin class again this morning. I will walk Reilly later, assuming I’m done with volleyball sooner than later… But at this rate, I’ll be here all damn day. A good TBTer would not try again… I guess we’ll see if I’m good or not
