The end is near…

Food: 2800+

  • Honey Nut Cheerios + 1% milk, banana, coffee, sugar free hazelnut creamer
  • apple, greek yogurt w/ fruit and granola
  • SunDried tomato wrap with spinach, grilled chicken, greek yogurt cucumber dressing, mushroom and reduced fat swiss cheese.  Energy bites.  Crystal Ice.  Zone Protein Bar.  Clementines.
  • Irish Soda Bread
  • Smoothie: frozen berries, spinach, pom, greek yogurt, honey, whey protein, banana.
  • Yogurt Pretzels.  Wine.

Exercise:

  • Reilly Walk
  • 50 Push ups
  • 50 situps

Basically the only thing I’m succeeding at this TBT is my 50 push ups and 50 sit ups a day.  Yesterday was “Bread Day” and there was homemade bread in the room where we had our Department Chair meeting.  I dramatically turned my back to it and ate none, despite the delicious smelling cream cheese covered bagel the woman sitting next to me was eating.  I indulged only in some extra coffee.  I starved all the way till lunch, despite being busy and my snack.

I had a huge lunch.  Then I came upstairs and jammed on my protein bar and snuck across the hall for a piece of bread with a bit of cream cheese and stole a handful of Dove chocolates.  *sigh.*

Made a huge smoothie disaster for dinner.  (I never use enough fluid and the stupid things won’t blend and I find that irritating.  Highly irritating.)  It tasted great, btw.  Went home, jammed on handfuls of yogurt pretzels and a glass of wine.

Today is Parent-Teacher conferences, so I will indulge in an Italian Dinner provided by our parents, and I don’t even feel bad.  Tomorrow, there are no classes at the gym I can go to.  I will walk Reilly, do my push/sit ups, and… I dunno.  I need to do some kind of at home workout, the trouble is I suck at those.  I have Sunny’s Frida Awesome Jammer workout.  I could do that…  we’ll see.

After tonight, Basketball is over for me, Conferences are out of the way, I should be able to get back to my routine.

I will triump, Dove Chocolates!

I will triump, Dove Chocolates!

My wonderful assistant Karen has restocked our chocolate stash. Dark for me, Milk for her.

What she and the chocolates don’t realize, though, is that I’ve armed myself against their charms. Bwahaahhaha.

Today, I brought my standard apple & greek yogurt w/ fruit and granola, but added clementines and energy bites to my lunch (which will be a wrap. I’m experimenting with wraps, now.)

The chocolates think they can tempt me, but they can’t! The will not! I will be victorious! I have peanut-buttery chocolate deliciousness in the form of Energy Bites in the fridge waiting for me for lunch.  Or when I reach for a chocolate.  Either way.  They’re there ready to be eaten.  Muhahahaha.

And when the energy bites are gone, Sprouts Yogurt Pretzels (Raspberry & Lemon) to the rescue!

And when that’s gone, I will make Guilt Free Ice Cream from bananas!  Maybe throw in some chocolate chips or coconut or pineapple or something delicious.  Bwaaaaahahahahahaaha.

Binge Eating

  • Turkey Sausage Muffin w/ 1% milk, apple coffee, and hazelnut sugar free creamer
  • apple, greek yogurt w/ fruit and granola, sugar snap peas
  • Ham and Provolone on wheat w/ VitaRain Zero
  • Trail Mix Bar, Coke Zero, Butterfinger, 2 energy bites
  • Chicken Nuggets w/ Honey (and Cock Radish Sauce)
  • Bottle and a half of wine
  • Pepperjack cheese slices, peanut butter with butterscotch chips…  and chocolate sauce

Exercise:

  • Long Reilly walk
  • 50 push ups (45 on my toes and 5 on my knees… 😦 )
  • 50 situps (25 touch, 25 cobra)

Everybody’s Workin’

Food: 3301/1756 (apparently toasted coconut is bad for you…)

  • Honey Nut Cheerios, 1% milk, banana, coffee, sugar free hazelnut
  • apple, greek yogurt w/ fruit and granola
  • ham and provolone on whate w/ mustard, VitaRain Zero…  banana. Energy bite.
  • TACO THURSDAY.  Three corn tacos w/ beef, refried beens, cheese, olives, salsa, sour cream (full fat), and tomatoes.  With a glass of 1% milk.
  • Beer.
  • Wine.
  • Pineapple w/ toasted coconut.

Exercise:

  • Short Reilly walk
  • 50 toe pushups (at work. heehee.)
  • 25 full touch sit-ups, 25 V-up reverse crunches (at work. heehee.)
  • Spin Class

After late nights Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (plus a Tylenol PM…) I had a hard time getting out of bed and skipped my morning crunches/push-ups.  😦  It is Spirit Week at school and was “Young/Old” day.  The girls were supposed to dress “young” so I wore leggings and a long sleeved tee shirt with high heeled ankle boots.  Apparently this seemed “dressed up” because I had many comments.  (Plus in leggings and heels my legs looked stellar.  😀 )  I was sorta just going for “what can I do pushups in at work?” But hey.  Whatevs.  So.  3:00pm rolled around, and of course I stay til 4:00pm (*cough*3:45*cough*), so I went in the back and did me some pushups and situps.  Naturally now that I’ve said I can do 25 continuous pushups…I no longer can.  😦  Lame.

Tim had wanted to do dinner together last night, but I had spin at 6 and he had a mand date at 6:30, so we ate early (4:45.)  Tacos!  Tim made them.  I really can’t let him cook.  Regular sour cream.  Yikes.  They were delicious, though.  But.  I wish I’d opted for a Taco Salad.  Anyway, after our excellent dinner, as I was headed out the door, Tim invited me on his man-date.  Which was sweet.  So I gave him $20 and promised to meet him.  (Positive reinforcement works with puppies, right?  Why not men?)

Spin Class.  Have I ever mentioned how much I fucking love Leslie?  I had forgotten my water bottle and had to borrow one from the lost-n-found (icky.  If I come down w/ some weird virus, we’ll know why though.)  Anyway, we started with 20 mins sprinting.  I loved it. 😀  Happy Mean@$$.  And when Leslie does 20ish mins sprinting, it’s a pyramid of 3x 30 seconds on, 20 seconds off.  Then 3 x 45 seconds on, 20 seconds off.  Then 3 x 60 seconds on, 20 seconds off, etc.  No BS 5min “sprints” ala Bill, the maroon.  Then our “hills” were at really high RPMs (80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 110) so I really liked that.  Anyway, the whole class was physically and mentally challenging, but didn’t have too much resistance, so I really liked it.  Plus it went by really fast.  Oh–and Leslie is finally unpacked after moving and has some new playlists.  Phew.  She’s always got one or two super awesome ’80s songs in there, which makes me giggle.

Then I met Tim and Marc for a beer.  That was weird b/c it didn’t go down very easily.  And after we went home I poured some of the toasted coconut I made for those energy bites on top of some fresh pineapple and it was delicious.  Would have been great with like vanilla (ICE CREAM) yogurt or something…  Drank a glass of wine, went to bed around 9:00pm and…

I slept like a fucking champion.  Bout time.  Shit.  Reilly cuddled me all night long, too.  😀

Flood Day!

No school today because a pipe broke and the D-Pod is flooded.  It’s a sign from the spirits, cuz damn I need this day off after that whirlwind of a fun, derby-filled, girl weekend.

I didn’t log my food or my exercise, but here’s what I can tell you:

  • I did my 50 pushups and 50 crunches each day.  
  • I played a shit ton of derby!
    • Saturday Scrimmage
    • Saturday 5 on 5 tourney
    • Sunday Bloody Sunday
  • I ate… some healthy food.. but mostly not.  😦  ?
    • Saturday–Quinoa Bowl w/ maple syrup, apple, almonds.  3 eggs scrambled w/ spinach.  Jimmy Johns vito for lunch… with a coke…  McDonalds cheeseburgers, fries, and diet Dr. Pepper for dinner…  some energy bites and cuties in between.
    • Sunday: … sausage, biscuit, egg breakfast sammie… plus a biscuit sausage sammie…  energy bite.  Naked Protein smoothie…  veggies and hummus…  beer.  nachos.

So yeah, mostly a bad Mean@$$, but I could have done worse.  (You can’t expect me to avoid McDonald’s or spicy sausage when everyone else is eating it!)  Anyway.  Was stressed out and feeling a lil sorry for myself when Eve & I pulled in to Sunday Bloody Sunday.  Slipped and fell on the ice, landed hard on my knee.  Then I laid there crying for a few minutes until Brix and Eve peeled me off of the ice.  My knee is fine.  It hurt.  I think for a split second I thought it might have been really hurt, but I think mostly I was stressed out and disappointed by getting our asses beat so hard by the MHC team at the Cheyenne 5 on 5 tourney.  It wasn’t so much “losing” to them as it was my three trips to the box as the jammer (in five jams…) that had me down.  Here, I’ll list them:

  • Serelson and Quigley hit me out.  Quigley dropped back, but I thought Serelson had hit me out.  Oops.  Stupid on my part.  I think maybe Serelson had hit me out, but Quigley still had a better position on me.  Anyway.  stupid.
  • Quigley and I were jamming together.  She hit me out, then dropped back.  I started skating back to get behind her.  Her team skated back with her.  So I paused to assess the situation and figure out what to do, when PG said (he was not reffing, but spectating at this time) “She’s not in play, you can’t cut her.”  I knew I had to enter behind her.  But when he said that, I assumed he meant since jammers are never in play, I could go in front of her–something weird with the new rules.  So I went in front of her… and back to the box.  (He meant NOT to cut her, b/c it WAS a penalty.)
  • Quigley and I were jamming together again.  I grabbed Eve’s belt to pull myself through their two blockers.  Quigley, next to me, saw, and rammed into my arm.  Intentionally.  She wasn’t trying to go through or anything, I wasn’t blocking her, but still: multiplayer major on me.

We were supposed to play them again, and I really wanted to, so I could redeem my integrity.  Plus.  Well.  I admit it–I have a little bit of a derby crush on Quigley and this night only emphasized it.  But it was 10:30 and snowing and we were in Cheyenne so instead we went home.  I’ll have to face her (them) another day to redeem myself.  (And it was really fun playign w/ Blew, Eve, Ho J, Batty, and Shank in our bad assed unitards.)

The other thing Quigley did…  her team was ahead and I think it was the fourth jam.  The other team’s jammer was in the box (another team of DRDers, but I think these ones were BA, not MHC) when Quigley, jamming, got a major.  She rolled over to the box and stood there, not sitting down, so that the other team’s jammer served a full minute, and was unable to score again during that jam.

Anyway, so I was laying there on the ice, upset about having been “Quigley’d” and my knee really hurt and I was crying and not getting up and Eve and Brix thought I was really hurt, like doctor hurt, and then I got in the War*house still crying and everyone was all worried and I felt really stupid b/c I knew my knee was just fine.  Ow.  But fine.

So yeah.  My weekend.
