Satisfecho

Food:

  • 2 egg muffins, banana, 1% milk, coffee, carmel macchiato sugar free creamer
  • greek yogurt w/ fruit and granola, apple
  • 1% milk, greek yogurt tuna on wheat with spinach.  bell peppers, cucumbers, hummus.
  • Cheesy Penne with Broccoli and baked chicken breasts.  Red wine.  Lots.

Exercise:

  • 50 toe push ups
  • 50 sit ups (25 leg lifts, 25 cobras)

Tim and Misto convinced me that it would be okay to miss practice yesterday, even w/ a TT30 mix-up scrimmage.  (Snow = bad roads.)  Which was good because the scrimmage was cancelled.  So I went shopping!  😀  I’ve decided that since overweight and old teachers wear leggings to work, I should too. (My legs look way better, it’s a disservice to the people if I don’t wear them…) I bought some online at Kohl’s, but they fit a little awkwardly, so I went to try the smaller size on.  Ended up keeping the size I originally purchased (though ironically one of the packages says “M” but is actually “L” so I will have to return today to exchange them…), but picked up a pair of clearance real suede F-Uggs and some long sweaters for my new leggings look.  (Rocking them today.  Gray leggings, F-Uggs, lime green sweater!  Pearls.) Then I went to Levi’s and (sorry Rebel) exchanged the black skinny jeans for a new pair and some gray ones.  They look like khaki so I can also wear these to work, and those colors didn’t come in strait leg.  And it was 2 for $80.  Again.  And they gave me a coupon.  Again (bastards.)  Who wants a Levi’s Coupon?

Also–went to the Country Pedaler bike shop in Castle Rock and got some fancy cleats for my fancy new shoes.  I’m so excited to try them out tonight!  But I may hit practice instead… not sure.  Misto-run practice w/ scrimmage after is promising…  but spin…  new shoes…  we’ll see.

My shopping prevented me from so much as walking the dog yesterday, but you know what?  I don’t care!  It was awesome.  I had a great day.  I made more of that delicious Cooking Light penne (with chicken this time) and hung out with Tim.  Since he’ll be gone this weekend, that was an excellent use of time.  Plus I didn’t have to sit in traffic and snow trying to get to the War*house or risk driving off the “cliff” by the Rec Center like the last time I went there in the snow.  “Satisfecho,” incidentally, means “satisfied” en español, and is a phrase Tim used to use when we dated after we had a good meal and had that awesome feeling.  I’m applying it to life right now.  I’m content, I’m satisfecho.

Oh–and I was in bed asleep before 10pm last night.  Woke up feeling refreshed–first time that’s happened on a week day in a while.  I did take a Tylenol PM last night… Push-ups/Sit-ups are soooo much easier on a morning like this morning than they are after a late practice when I get home late and don’t sleep all night…  Gotta work on that.

The Spiral Continues

Food:

  • Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Muffin
  • Apple
  • Salad w/ light balsamic vinaigrette and gorgonzola cheese
  • peppers, carrots, hummus
  • Beer, Coke Zero w/ Vodkas
  • Martini, Filet, Lobster Bacon Mac, green beans, caesar salad

Exercise:

  • Body Combat (boo)
  • Body Pump

Body Combat was terrible yesterday.  I am awful at it, and i kept getting lost, and I almost walked out several times.  I stuck it out and did Body Pump after.  I hate lifting, too, but at least I can do that.

Then shopping–yay!  New jeans size 8 from Levi’s (last year I had to get size 16s, so holy shit!)  Size 6 pants on clearance at Eddie Bauer so I will be comfortable at work.  New Nike’s on clearance from the outlet (mine are ghetto 1999 style, so these new ones are sweet.)  They’re navy blue w/ chartreuse accents.  Which is cool, but clashes with my black pants.  Oh well.

This lady was really mean to me at Nike.  It was super busy, so I walked over to the only place I could find a seat to try on four pairs of shoes (which I was carrying along with a pair of sweats and bags from several stores I’d already hit.)  This lady started complaining and pointed at my sweats and said “hit in the face.”  Had I hit her with my sweats when I sat down?  So I said “I’m sorry… ?”  And she said “Well you don’t have to be so RUDE.  You could say ‘EXCUSE ME'” and turned her back on me.  I said “I didn’t realize I’d done anything, and as soon as I heard you, I apologized.”  She ignored me.  I got up and moved.

Came home, put on my new Skinny Jeans and a Nuggets Tee Shirt and waited for Tim so we could go to the movies.

My principal called me.  An English teacher had a baby.  Her sub resigned Friday.  Apparently I will be teaching her classes for the next month. Which is awesome!  But I have no idea what they’re learning, what they’re supposed to do Monday, and the Assistant Principal who was supposed to call me w/ that info never did.  So I’m stressing a bit.

We saw Hansel and Gretel.  Then we went to The Outback for dinner and Tim got mad at me and it was awful and then we came home and I locked myself in the bedroom watching The Time Traveler’s Wife on TV.

He was going to go skiing with his friends this weekend and stayed home b/c I had a rough week.  I told him to go, because I knew this would happen, it always does, and I have no patience for it anymore, which only added to the awful.  I take him to the movies.  He doesn’t thank me.  We’re sitting having drinks and he starts talking about Wicked as if he’s ever seen the play or read the book (he hasn’t.)  I say it would be cool if we could go to a play once in a while.  And he blows up about how I don’t appreciate him staying home with me instead of going skiing.  He just went to a movie I wanted to see–why isn’t that enough?

If it’s such a chore hanging out with me, i wish he would stop.  Which is why I told him to go to the fucking mountains and ski with his friends.  He never wants to do anything with me.  Ever.  And when I finally drag him out, begrudgingly, on my own dime, all he does is complain and say I should be grateful he even came out.

And then he starts bitching that all I ever do is derby, and Tim should come first (and he should) but derby comes first etc etc etc.  It was really downhill from there.  Maybe i should quit.  I’m not getting out of it what I put into it.  My husband hates me.  I’m teaching tomorrow.  And i’m sitting here waiting around to go to practice.

Clearly a turning point for me.  What’s going to happen?

Ponytails and Cocktails: two things that will always rock.

Food:

  • Honey Nut Cheerios, milk, coffee, sugarfree vanilla creamer
  • Yoplait greek w/ fruit and granola, Coconut Luna Bar, almonds
  • Subway turkey and ham w/ avocado on wheat, all the veggies, honey mustard (no cheese!)
  • Handfulls and handfulls and handfulls of homemade carmel corn.  So much all my teeth rot out after my fillings fell out.  Sooooo good.
  • banana… dark chocolate cherry almond clusters…
  • Chicken Cordon Bleu w/ steamed brussel sprouts, rye bread, and wine.  (And Flexeril.)

Exercise:

  • Longish Reilly walk

My back has been bugging me all day, progressively worse as the day’s worn on.  So I’m mixing a flexeril wine cocktail.  Fucking badass.  My liver prolly doesn’t like it though… Skipped practice tonight.  With the back and needing to pack…  prolly a good decision.  It’s a good thing Frida’s off the TBT or she’d be giving me a beating for sure.  😉

So, yeah.  Needless to say I’m basically off the TBT wagon.  Ugh.  I’ve worked so hard and done sooo well I don’t want to fuck it all up now!  So close.  Conversely…  my original goals are centered on derby improvement, physical strength, drinking more water, etc.  I’m doing great there.  It’s just I’ve been drinking more, eating pizza, and gaining a few lbs.  We’ll see how it goes.

In other news…  my badass Bijou bruise?  The one I refused to Arnicare b/c I wanted Bijou to see it?  Yeah.  Black and giant.  And I’m rocking the bikini in two days.  Fuuuuck.  Why don’t I ever plan ahead?  Oh well.
