Bacon Cheddar Cheese Ball

I had intended to make my favorite holiday Caraway Cheese Ball, but alas!  I have no Caraway Seeds.  So, since we had bacon and eggs for breakfast…I decided to make a Bacon Cheddar Cheese Ball.



  • 8oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 lb shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 package bacon, fried crispily, and crushed (or bacon bits)
  • 2 tbl. Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tbl. Red Wine Vinegar

Beat cream cheese until smooth.  Mix in dijon and red wine vinegar.  Add bacon and cheddar.  Mix thoroughly.  Roll into ball.  Refrigerate 4hrs. (or until firm), serve with triscuits.

* Feel free to roll ball in crushed nuts.  Cheese balls traditionally have a coating, I left one off since it would ruin the baconyness.  😀
