Lemon Sage Wild Rice

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbl. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup wild rice blend (from sprouts)
  • Juice and zest of one lemon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage, chopped (or torn)

Saute garlic in oil over medium heat.  Once garlic begins to brown add rice.  Cover with water. Add lemon juice and zest and sage. Simmer about an hour.  Shoot yourself in the face after 20 minutes when you realize it’s not done.  And again every 2-5 minutes when you try to check it.

*note: this recipe is REALLY REALLY lemony!  But delish!
